County Galway-based Chanelle Pharma has announced a strategic partnership with Germany-based SAP SE to implement SAP S/4HANA Cloud (private edition) and SAP Business AI, according to an SAP UK News Center press release.
The initiative represents a major investment in building a modern, scalable digital foundation designed to accelerate time-to-market for innovative medicines, elevate operational visibility and enhance data governance. Chanelle Pharma currently exports to over 90 countries with operations across Ireland, Britain, Portugal and Jordan.
By establishing a robust digital core, Chanelle Pharma will meet higher expectations for GxP regulatory compliance whilst modernising core finance, manufacturing and supply chain processes. The single-phase programme targets late 2026 go-live and is being delivered jointly by Tenthpin and KaarTech.
"This strategic partnership with SAP marks a pivotal moment in our growth trajectory," said Aiden Dempsey, chief information officer at Chanelle Pharma. "We are investing heavily in a scalable digital foundation that will accelerate our time-to-market and drive global manufacturing excellence. SAP S/4HANA Cloud and Business AI give us the competitive advantage to pioneer the future of the pharmaceutical industry while maintaining the highest standards of GxP compliance."
"Pharmaceutical organisations are operating in an increasingly complex environment, where regulation, supply chains and demand can all shift quickly," said Ray Joyce, head of Ireland at SAP UK&I. "SAP's Cloud ERP strengthens organisational resilience and governance processes and provides data insights from across the business."
The transformation will leverage Tenthpin's SAP Signavio processes optimised for Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisations, ensuring seamless, high-velocity implementation that maximises strategic value for global pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
