Irish pharmaceutical company Channelle Pharma has announced a strategic partnership with SAP to implement SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Business AI across its operations, modernising its end-to-end operational value chain to accelerate time-to-market for innovative medications and enhance operational visibility and data governance, according to Precedence Research.
The transformation will be delivered as a single-phase programme with a targeted go-live of late 2026, covering core finance and supply chain processes while strengthening GDP regulatory compliance across the company's international footprint spanning Ireland, Portugal, and Jordan.
Aidan Dempsey, chief executive of Channelle Pharma, said: "This strategic partnership with SAP marks a pivotal moment in our growth trajectory. We are investing heavily in a scalable digital foundation that will accelerate our time-to-market and drive global manufacturing excellence. SAP S/4HANA Cloud and Business AI give us the competitive advantage to pioneer the future of the pharmaceutical industry while maintaining the highest standards of GMP compliance."
Channelle Pharma currently exports to over 90 countries across human and animal health markets, with the digital transformation designed to support continued international expansion by building a scalable and modern operational foundation.
Precedence Research estimates the AI in pharma supply chain market was valued at $2.85 billion (€2.64 billion) in 2025 and is projected to reach approximately $24.69 billion (€22.84 billion) by 2035, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 24.10%, driven by demand for increased supply chain resilience, waste reduction, and real-time regulatory monitoring.
The partnership reflects a broader industry shift toward AI-enabled supply chain management as pharmaceutical companies seek to improve forecasting accuracy, inventory optimisation, and regulatory compliance across increasingly complex global operations.
