GEODIS has strengthened its pharmaceutical logistics capabilities in Poland after renewing its IATA CEIV Pharma certification and securing Good Distribution Practice (GDP) certification for one of its contract logistics facilities.

The latest certifications enhance the company's ability to support the safe handling, storage and transport of pharmaceutical products while reinforcing compliance with internationally recognised healthcare logistics standards.

As reported by AGCC UK, the renewed IATA CEIV Pharma certification applies to GEODIS' air freight operations in Warsaw, confirming that the company continues to meet stringent requirements for quality management, validated handling procedures and temperature-controlled transportation of pharmaceutical cargo.

GEODIS has also obtained GDP certification for its Stryków Dobra contract logistics site, demonstrating compliance with European Union regulations governing the storage, distribution and transport of medicinal products. The certification recognises the facility's capability to maintain product integrity throughout the pharmaceutical supply chain.

The company said the dual certifications strengthen its integrated pharmaceutical logistics offering by combining certified air freight operations with GDP-compliant warehousing and distribution services.

The renewal also expands GEODIS' certified healthcare logistics network across Europe, where the company now operates IATA CEIV Pharma-certified capabilities in 13 countries, including Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Poland. The network supports pharmaceutical shipments through a number of major logistics hubs, including Dublin.

The development reflects continued investment in specialised pharmaceutical logistics as manufacturers and healthcare organisations place greater emphasis on regulatory compliance, product traceability and resilient temperature-controlled supply chains for medicines and other healthcare products across Europe.
