Life Pharmacy’s continued recognition as Ireland’s leading retail brand for customer experience highlights the value of trusted advice and personal service in community pharmacy. The national brand ranked first in retail and second overall in the 2026 Customer Experience Insight (CXi) Report, marking its third consecutive year at the top of the retail category.
As reported by the Irish Independent, the results include recognition for Strandhill Life Pharmacy and Burke’s Life Pharmacy in Sligo Town. Their teams serve local communities where pharmacists play an important role in helping people access medicines, understand treatment instructions and seek advice about everyday health concerns.
The annual CXi Report, compiled by the CX Company using research conducted by Amárach Research, assesses consumer experiences across more than 170 organisations and 11 sectors. According to the official CXi Report website, the 2026 survey gathered feedback between 8 June and 31 July. Life Pharmacy first entered the survey in 2022, ranking ninth overall before moving to sixth in 2023 and second in 2024. It has maintained that overall position while continuing to lead the retail category.
For community pharmacy, customer experience is closely connected to the delivery of healthcare services. Patients may need clear explanations about medicines, support navigating health concerns or reassurance when discussing sensitive issues. Consistent service and accessible advice can help pharmacies build relationships with customers and strengthen their role as a familiar point of contact within the wider healthcare system.
Life Pharmacy Chair Mairead Reen credited pharmacy teams for the care and expertise they bring to their communities. Operations Manager Laura Garrett also highlighted the importance of listening to customers, offering advice and making people feel supported. Their comments reflect the company’s emphasis on the everyday interactions that contribute to its national customer experience ranking.
Life Pharmacy operates within the Uniphar Group, whose retail pharmacy network supports access to medicines and health services throughout Ireland. Uniphar’s overview of its retail pharmacy services describes the role of pharmacies in providing vaccination programmes, blood pressure monitoring and general health advice, illustrating how community pharmacy extends beyond dispensing prescriptions.
For the sector, the lesson is direct: strong community pharmacy performance depends on combining professional expertise with approachable, consistent service. Life Pharmacy’s national recognition, including the Sligo branches, reinforces how trusted local teams can strengthen customer relationships while supporting the wider role of pharmacies in accessible healthcare.
