West Pharmaceutical Services has inaugurated a major facility expansion at its Damastown, Dublin site, bolstering its contract manufacturing capacity to address surging global demand for high-volume injectable drug therapies, including GLP-1 treatments for diabetes and obesity.

According to a PR Newswire announcement, the Pennsylvania-headquartered injectable drug delivery solutions company added 165,000 sq ft to its existing Dublin footprint. The expansion extends the site's capabilities beyond component moulding, device assembly, and packaging to include advanced automation and expanded drug-handling operations at commercial scale.
